A branching story game on the Roblox Platform where the player's high school life goes on a field trip due to the unexpected alien apocalypse. Who among you and your peers will survive?
As a Studio, we approached Roblox about marketing one of our most popular properties, Field Trip Z, to the chinese market. As a Zombie game, this meant that we had to effectively refactor a large portion of our art assets, as well as the story, boss battles, and in general, the game itself.
As a result of talks pushing forward, we got the opportunity to work with Tencent, who partnered with Roblox to set up LuoBu, Roblox's Chinese platform. Part of my role on this project was working closely with Roblox and Tencent to assure the project was fitting within the strict guidelines to get a game into China, and this was an incredibly educational experience as I was of the age of 18 at the time.
